Natural home tanning in winter?

The sunny days are over, but you want that chocolate skin?

It is quite possible :) Don't panic!

Mother Nature has 4 things in your own kitchen for you.

• Coffee
• Black and green tea
• Carrots
• Chamomile

If you wash your face with strong green tea or natural coffee every morning, your skin will get soft, fresh and a little bit darker.

Ground coffee mixed with water and some olive oil (if your skin is coarse) makes very good refreshing facial mask. Let it stay on your face for 10 minutes and wash thoroughly with warm water. Dark pigments of coffee tend to stay on the skin when left there for a while.

Ground Coffee also refreshes the skin and helps remove dead cells. It's like 3-in-1 winter face mask.

The other great thing for tanning are Carrots. They are natural tanning agent. Grate 2 medium carrots and mix with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Distribute this mask on your face for 15 minutes.

NOT suitable for white skin type, because it tends to get ... yellow to orange. But if you have natural tan - carrots will improve it.

And of course, the magic Chamomile.

This herb is a miracle, but I will bore you to death with details in another article.

Boil 2 pints of water and add 8 tablespoons of Chamomile. Let it cool completely (covered for 2 hours). Sift and keep in a handy bottle or other container.

Rub your face with this infusion every morning for 1 week and you will get very nice tan.

Another thing if you can afford it, is Almond Oil.

It is proven tanning agent added in some commercial products and is quite good. If it is too expensive for you - you may grind finely 20-30 raw almonds and mix them with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Let them stay that way overnight and use this mask on your face.

The effect is not as strong as real almond oil, but it sticks for 1-2 weeks.
