Easy Greek Salad (in 5 minutes)
Easy greek salad.
This salad is one of my favorites and spring is soon to come in the Balkans, so all the ingredients will be widely accessible and cheap.
For 2 servings of this salad, you need:
- 2 big flat dishes (medium pizza size)
- 1 medium cucumber
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 small cabbage or lettuce
- 1 big chunk of white cheese (about 250 grams)
- 2 cans of tuna in olive or sunflower oil
- 2 olives
- 1 lemon
- and a pinch of salt.
Preparation
(takes 5 minutes total.)
Wash everything.
Cut the cucumber in 4 pieces, and then every piece on 4 pieces (a quarter piece, as long as your pinky finger)
Cut the tomatoes in 8 even parts.
Dice the cabbage.
Arrange the prepared vegetables in the dishes (as shown in the video)
Cabbage in center and the other veggies around it.
Pour the olive oil over the veggies and put the tuna in the center with small olive on top.
Squeeze half lemon over the whole salad and add a pinch of salt (just a pinch, because the white cheese and tuna will be salty).
Done! ;)
It is an excellent salad for warm days with a glass of Ouzo, Arak or Mastika.
Glass of water or cool ayran is also a good idea.
