My first month of hubbing and 30/30 success

Updated on July 7, 2012
34 hubs in 1 month
34 hubs in 1 month

I can bravely shout out:

"I did it!"

My first experience with HubPages is a success, and I am happy to be part of this good growing community.

For my first month here, I've learnt few important things about Hub Pages, that I want to share:

  1. Community is important. Sharing ideas with the others and adopting and expanding their ideas is very helpful. And also, you can learn from the more experienced hubbers.
  2. Hubbing is a bit like blogging, but you already have subscribers and ADs, without even lifting a finger. No installation and patching of data bases, web servers, blogging software, updates and whatsoever. No expensive hosting and no paranoid security. No quotas. Top hubbers have above 1700 articles.
  3. You feel easier to write for your community and not just for your own writing. Addressing issues that interest other people make writing easier, because your language stance is pointing the right direction. E.g. "You are explaining instead of simply "sharing".
  4. You are motivated to experiment. And the feedback from the community is an excellent guide light for refining of your writing. If you are doing a good job, you have good feedback.
  5. You meet new people with similar interest without even looking for them. And believe me, for 1 year of blogging, I barely managed to befriend 4 more bloggers and shared backlinks with them.
  6. It is not a miracle medium, you still need to create back links to your hubs, but it is somehow easier if you already have some experience with blogging and the new connections you make with just one month of hubbing. I still need few more links to reach pagerank 1 to my main hub page.
  7. Monetization is extremely easy with Hub Pages own program. You only need to write and bring readers and HubPages will pay few dollars for every 1000 readers you bring. You only need your own AdSense account and HubPages will start sharing their revenues with you.
  8. Some SEO plugins for Firefox work as fine as with other publishing platforms (WordPress and Blogger). You only need the will to write.
  9. You can learn Haiku :)
  10. Great supportive community with its own Facebook page to share the fun with. People of all races, nations and religions who share experience and pat each other on the back.

For everyone that supported me so far, I want to tell you just one more thing:

THANK YOU!

You are the best. I am here to stay, because of all of you folks!
